7 Healthy Habits For a Balanced Life - Sharrets Nutritions LLP

7 Healthy Habits For a Balanced Life

Balanced Lifestyle :

Have Breakfast

It is a well-known fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Not only does it give you energy for a productive morning and kick-start your metabolism, it prevents overeating throughout the day and eventually weight gain. If you prefer not to have a full, heavy meal right after waking up, fruits, oats and grains are good light options to proffer you vitality.

Drink Ample Water

The adage “Water is life” cannot be any more true; it is vital to all our basic bodily functions and more. Not only does it boost our cognitive and physical performance, and keep our skin clear, it is essential for good digestion, prevents constipation and headache, and acts as a lubricant for our joints and linings of organs, just to name a few. Depending on your age, level of physical activity and environment for example, you might have to tweak or increase your water intake to maintain a crucial amount for your health. In general, females should drink at least 2.2 Litres and men 3 Litres a day.

Nutrition Conscious

The aphorism “ You are what you eat”, again, holds so much truth. To improve and maintain your health, one of the most important thing to start from is having a balanced, moderate and nutritious diet. This includes food rich in vitamin, minerals, protein and healthy fats. Avoid sugar, saturated and trans fat, and all sorts of processed food. Meal Prepping is a great way to ensure you are able to take your own nutrition into your own hands. Not only does it save time, it is also economical. A great way to boost your nutritional needs is to add natural and nourishing supplements to your foods, such as Sharrets MCT Oil which contains 100% pure medium chain triglycerides (MCT) that are naturally found in coconut oil . It provides instant energy, brain fuel and improves your metabolism to expedite fat burning - the extra boost you need to attain a well-rounded nutrition.

Exercise

You will never have time for anything, unless you make time for it, and exercise is one thing you absolutely have to make time for. The health benefits of exercise has been thoroughly researched and proven which include but are not limited to enhance brain, heart and skin health, improving sleep quality, aiding in weight loss and reducing risk of chronic disease. If you find yourself feeling sluggish often, exercise is also a great way to boost your energy and vitality. If you find it hard to make time for a long workout, perhaps find ways to fit in physical activity in your daily schedule, such as taking the stairs instead of the lifts, or taking a five minute break from your work to move and stretch.

Avoid Vices

Modern life can be stressful, with so many things on our plate perpetually. It is hence understandable that we turn to certain vices such as smoking and drinking to help us wind down and de-stress. While is it not the most abominable thing, it is highly detrimental to your health if done in excess incessantly. It definitely pays in the long run to abstain from these rather unhealthy habits, not only do you save your money on them, you’ll probably attenuate your health bills in time to come.

Catching your WInks

Good and sufficient sleep is just as important as exercising and eating healthily. It can improve your memory, concentration and productivity, on top of reducing risk of chronic diseases in the long run such as stroke and heart diseases. Sleep is also imperative for a well-performing immune system. A two-week study has shown those with less than seven hours of sleep were three times more likely to catch a cold than those with eight or more hours. In addition, a lack of sleep can be detriment to your social interaction as one becomes more irritable, and one’s ability to recognize important social cues, and to read and process emotional expressions reduced.

Practice Mindfulness

Last but not least, a cultivation of mindfulness and self-awareness will not only improve your mood, but also aid in your overall balance and well-being. While there are many ways to achieve this, meditation is one of the most tested and proven ways to be present and mindful which enables one to feel less stressed and happier. On top of introspection and reflection, such as having a Gratitude Journal, practicing Yoga, or even a hobby that engages your focus and brings you to the present is a wonderful way to be mindful. These are helpful ways to regulate your emotions, ameliorate stress, and to stay calm and happy
